The inaugural CAFS Survival International Film Festival will screen films from across the globe that each highlight the strength of human spirit and survival.
It will be held at the Ballaarat Mechanics’ Institute from May 23 to 25.
CAFS SIFF director Neil Boyack said the festival would celebrate survival stories from Ballarat.
“We work with a lot of people who have survived their lives, so we want to showcase survival stories,” Mr Boyack said.
Mr Boyack said the festival would work to bring the community together. The program will feature more than a dozen films showcasing many cultures, from the Middle East to native America.
