Black Hill walking track this morning.

Black Hill walking track this morning.

Brilliant sunshine in Ballarat this morning, but it may disappear as the weather turns much the same as yesterday.

Cloud is expected to roll in this morning with showers forecast later in the afternoon as we head for a top of 15 degrees.

It was rather chilly over night too, with the temperature dropping to a low of 3 degrees.

Winds will be light and from the north-west, perfect if you're thinking of heading to the coast for a wave!

Ballarat police charged a young man with drink driving offences after he blew more than two times the limit following a collision in Whitehorse Road, Mount Clear, early on Saturday.

Acting Sergeant Simon Pearce said the 20-year-old was taken back to the Ballarat police station following the crash which occurred about 5am.

The man allegedly blew 0.113 and has been summoned to appear in Ballarat Magistrates Court.

Elsewhere, police in Bendigo arrested a young man on Friday, seizing more than $50,000 in cash and firearms.

A search of the 22-year-old's Moray Crescent home allegedly found a number of firearms, pen pistols, drugs, cash and stolen property.

Central Victoria Response Unit are investigating and the Bendigo man is currently assisting police with their enquiries.
