These are the words by which music man Greg Champion and the rest of ABC Radio’s Coodabeen Champions live by each weekend.
Singing ditties and talking footy with a bunch of other blokes – how can you go wrong?
However, remaining immature until a suitably mature age requires looking after your health, and the health of your mates. That will be the theme of Champs’ visit to Ballarat on June 13 for Men’s Health Week.
Men of all ages are invited to bring a mate to the Ballarat Library for a couple of hours on June 13 from 4pm.
AFL footy may be a topic of conversation, even though Adelaide supporter Champion has had very little to Crow about this season. So the topic may quickly switch to cricket and the time he made a 100 in the backyard at mum’s (who hasn’t?).
There will humour and satire, but all with a country folk music flavour.
The free event will be hosted by 107.9 ABC Ballarat breakfast presenter Dominic Brine and is supported by the Ballarat, Wendouree and Ballarat North Neighbourhood centres.
“Men’s Health Week is about celebrating the great things our boys and men bring to our lives,” Ballarat North Neighbourhood House manager Alison Demuth said.
