Police were called to a single-car crash on Drummond Street South at 12.20am on Monday morning where a person was trapped.
Police are now investigating a suspected gas leak after fire crews were called to a smoke alarm at a Wendouree.
After fire crews forced entry and the occupants of the home could not be located, the matter was handed to police.

Wendouree and Ballarat fire crews were forced to break into a Wendouree home after being called to a smoke alarm at 11.40pm.
Upon arrival fire fighters could smell gas, however the source of the gas could not be located
The occupants of the McNulty Drive home could not be located and police are now investigating.
Fire crews were called to a single-car accident on Drummond Street South at 12.20am where they had to free the occupants of the car.
Fire fighters were able to free the occupants of the car without "too many hassles".
