Overnight temperatures slipped no lower than 7.0 degrees at midnight and again at 8am at Ballarat Airport even though the apparent temperature was lower than that (2.6 degrees), according to the Bureau of Meteorology.
There was a brief shower at about 1.30am bringing the amount of rain recorded yesterday to 1.2mm. The forecast for Sunday is partly cloudy with early drizzle. Winds southerly up to 15 to 20 km/h in the middle of the day then becoming south easterly in the evening. Top temperature of 12 degrees.
POLICE
Ballarat police are not yet able to provide any further information on the robbery of a Camp Street hotel during the early hours of Saturday morning.
On Saturday afternoon Superintendent Andrew Allen confirmed police were investigating the robbery and following up several lines of inquiry.
There were no major incidents reported by Ballarat police overnight.
FIRE
The Country Fire Authority reports no significant call outs in Ballarat in what was a relatively quiet night for firefighters across the state.
V/LINE
Due to V/Line track works, coaches will replace some services between Ararat and Melbourne until Wednesday, June 11. Ballarat services will run as normal.
Trains will run to a Saturday timetable on the Queen's Birthday public holiday on Monday
