Cameron led Black to a 4-3 win at Morshead Park’s synthetic pitch on Sunday.
The win sees Black elevated into second position on the ladder with 22 points, three clear of Forest Rangers but still eight behind competition benchmark Sebastopol Yellow, which was granted a bye this round.
Meanwhile, North United White scored a crucial 3-1 win over Warrnambool and subsequently vaulted into fourth spot.
The final match of the top women’s league saw the Rangers hand Sebastopol Blue a 5-0 thumping.
Renee Boag scored three goals while Erica Thom and Tammy Brown contributed one goal a piece.
The division 1 men’s competition saw Ballarat extend its buffer atop the table with a 4-0 win over Vic Park.
Isaac Harbour scored a hat trick for the victors, while Michael Lockyer chipped in with one himself.
North United also remains in the hunt after a 3-1 defeat of Castlemaine.
Dean Banner, Timothy Beggs and Eamon Nuttall all goaled for the victors.
