Just after 7am it was cold, cold, cold. Increasing from four degrees Weatherzone said it felt like minus 0.6 degrees.

POLICE
Ballarat Crime Investigation Unit continue to investigate an assault in a Ballarat Football League under-age match between East Point and Darley. Details.
FIRE
Ballarat Fire crews had a reasonably quiet night aside from a false alarm and a mattress fire.
Three crews attended a mattress fire just before 11pm on Monday night which was caused by an electric blanket fault.
Senior Station Officer David Mounier said it was essential to check blankets so they are prepared for the winter season, especially if they haven't been used for a while.
Two fire crews attended a false alarm at the Buninyong town hall at 6.15am.
AMBULANCE
Paramedics had nothing of interest to report.
SES
Crews attended just one call out over night for flooding at a house when rain entered through the roof of a Brown Hill home.
However, Mid-West duty officer Peter Keppel said the SES was bracing for a manic day ahead of Tuesday's forecasted storm.
"The front hasn't hit us yet. We will be expecting a busy day today," he said.
"It depends how strong the winds get. if as forecasted we could easily have in excess of 100 jobs today."

The Ballarat line appears to be running smoothly without delays or complaints from Twitter users.
Due to Regional Rail Link works, coaches will replace trains between Melbourne and Ballarat from Saturday 28 June until Tuesday 15 July.
Trains will continue to operate between Ballarat and Ararat / Maryborough.
