We've dived straight into the heart of winter as the end of June approaches. Yesterday's bone-chilling winds will carry through to today and we will see a top of 11 degrees with a shower or two.
Winds westerly 25 to 35 km/h tending northwesterly 30 to 40 km/h in the late afternoon.
POLICE
Police had nothing to report.
FIRE
Two trucks attended an arcing powerline on Victoria Street at the front of a Ballarat East home. Horrid weather is to blame for the issue.
Powercor arrived shortly after 10.30pm and controlled the powerline.
Three crews attended a false alarm at the Esta Call Centre, Mt Helen, just before 11.30pm.
AMBULANCE
It was a quiet night for paramedics who attended no trauma cases over night.
V/LINE
Due to a signal fault between Rockbank & Melton, significant delays are being experienced on the Ballarat line.
The fault is believed to have been caused by vandalism.
We will be following up shortly.

Due to Regional Rail Link works, coaches will replace trains between Melbourne and Ballarat from Saturday 28 June until Tuesday 15 July.
Trains will continue to operate between Ballarat and Ararat / Maryborough.
