The story time will include classics such as Possum Magic, Wombat Stew and Charlie and the Crocodiles, starring Charlie Parker himself.
As Australia’s youngest park ranger little Charlie will be a “storytelling sidekick”, there to hold frogs, lizards and even snakes for the kids to show there’s nothing to fear.
However, the stories will be told in front of Crunch, a 50-year-old five-metre crocodile.
Wildlife Park’s Alicia Barlow said Charlie’s passion for animals was a great way to get kids into animals.
“They see Charlie holding different animals and he’s their own age,” she said.
“It convinces them it’s safe to touch them.”
Storytelling will be at 4pm every day during the school holidays.
Three day family passes for two adults and four children are discounted at $60.
