Ballarat shivered through a two degree night. The mercury has begun its climb as the sun rises and will reach a top of 9 degrees today. Mostly cloudy with patchy light frost early this morning. A shower or two from the late morning. Winds west to southwesterly 20 to 25 km/h becoming light in the late evening.

If you're travelling to and from Melbourne be sure to allow for extra time as coaches will replace trains due to Regional Rail Link works between Melbourne and Ballarat/Wendouree from until Tuesday, July 15.
Note: Coaches to Melbourne during morning peak will depart earlier than normal train times.
Trains will continue to operate between Ballarat and Ararat / Maryborough.
