The Western Freeway was closed temporarily at Myrniong after a car caught fire on Saturday morning.
Bacchus Marsh police received reports that a single vehicle had caught fire about 10.35am.
Four fire crews worked to extinguish the fire.
Bacchus Marsh Police Acting Sergeant Michael Livingston said there were no injuries at this stage.
Ballarat City Fire also attended to a washaway on the Western Freeway near Nerrina about 9.30pm on Friday night.
