The first round of Pyrenees Shire Council’s annual grants program for 2014/15 saw 17 community groups and one individual receive up to $19,930 in grants.
Beaufort’s Zac Biggin received $500 to help fund a trip to Perth to compete in the World Skills National Competition.
Friends of the Avoca Pool and Waubra Football Netball Club each received $1500 to replace and purchase new equipment for their facilities.
Redbank Reserve Committee received $1500 to build a concrete path for better access around the rotunda at ANZAC Park.
Council received 30 applications worth $36,430 for this round of community grants.
