A COMPANY at the centre of last year's National Broadband Network roll-out asbestos scandal in Ballarat has been found guilty of two charges and ordered to pay more than $20,000.
POLICE
A 19-year-old man was hit by a car while running from Protective Services Officers at Ballarat station on Thursday afternoon.
The man ran down the Mair Street ramp at the station and into traffic, after reportedly being found with spray paint, when he was struck by a Holden Commodore heading towards Lydiard Street just after 5pm.
FIRE
Crews attended a car that was leaking gas in Ballarat East just before 8pm on Thursday night.
Luckily, the occupant of the vehicle had isolated the leak before crews arrived on scene.
Crews also attended a false alarm when a faulty smoke detector went off in Ballarat East at 2am.

Vline are no reporting any delays for the Ballarat line but have advised their Flinders Street booking office is closed today.
