The Lady Devils have won just four games in the Football Federation Victoria women's state league one season thus far, one of which was against Preston in round six.
On that occasion, Ballarat prevailed 2-1 away from home and get the advantage of the Morshead Park show pitch this weekend.
Ballarat, which is seven points clear of the ninth-placed Lions, has a few changes from last Sunday's win over University of Melbourne. Vanessa Yung is unavailable, with Cassie Anstis and Celeste Davi included from the development squad, which has already been gifted a forfeit from the Preston side.
Following this weekend's contest, the Lady Devils have three matches remaining in the regular season. On the horizon is North Geelong Warriors, Keilor Park and Brighton to wrap-up the campaign.
