The resumption of services comes after the entire Australian fleet of trucks was grounded after a fatal collision in Glen Osmond, South Australia on Tuesday.
It is yet to be determined if Cleanaway services have resumed in Ballarat.
Following an inquiry by The Courier, the Ballarat City Council tweeted rubbish collection would continue as normal.
A council spokesperson said the council does not use Cleanaway waste management services.
Transpacific CEO Robert Boucher said the fleet was grounded to ensure safety standards were upheld.
