To mark the passing of Nelson Mandela late last year, Stella Savy and Vocalise are working with Valanga and Andrea Khoza and Ballarat region students to perform songs from the Limpopo Province in South Africa.
The concert, now in its 10th year, will include Senegalese dancer and percussionist Maline Sonko, Leo Dale on trumpet and stortelling from Valanga Khoza’s children’s book Gezani and the Tricky Baboon.
Students from Ararat Primary, Ararat West Primary, Ballarat Clarendon College, Ballarat Steiner School, Buninyong Primary, Emmaus, Marian College Ararat, Mini Mona’s and St Alipius Primary schools, will perform .
