RIDING for the Disabled Association of Australia is the latest charity to (hopefully) benefit from some well-placed wagers on the horses.

Brian Johnson, who owns horseracingshares.com.au, has again kindly tipped in $1000 to bet with over the next four Saturday meetings in Melbourne in a bid to raise some cash for the hard-working organisation.
The winnings will then be donated to RDA, a voluntary, not-for-profit group which provides opportunities for anyone with a disability to enjoy safe, healthy, stimulating, therapeutic, horse-related activities in Australia.
This Saturday's Black Caviar Lightning Stakes meeting at Flemington is the initial target before we study up for the Blue Diamond Stakes card at Caulfield on February 28. The Australian Guineas raceday at Flemington on March 7 and the Australian Cup meeting, again at Flemington on March 14, round out the challenge.
Johnson and the "Taking A Punt" column donated $1000 to the National Jockeys Trust from bets placed at the Burrumbeet New Year's Day races.
BEST BET
WAWAIL (Flemington, Saturday, race 3)
The David Hayes and Tom Dabernig-trained filly looks a star of the future and returned from a break with victory at the same track late last month.
After that victory, jockey Michael Walker declared her a group one horse in the making and if that's to be the case, she should get the job done here.
BEST EACH-WAY
LUCKY LIBERTY (Flemington, Saturday, race 6)
Showed his brilliance with an extremely tough win at Flemington to continue the unbeaten sequence at the same meeting as Wawail's last run.
Sat deep the entire trip, raced to the lead in the straight and kicked on for a gutsy victory.
This is tougher, but reckon he's the one they have to beat.
BEST EXOTIC
QUADDIE (Flemington, Saturday, races 6-9)
1,2,3,5,8,10 - 1,5,6 - 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 - 5,6,8,10,11 ($50 - 7.93%)
Never easy to land one of these, but reckon even just a small percentage can return a nice little collect in a tough quaddie on Saturday.
