Ellis flew in the United States this week and will start on the bench in the Vikings’ clash with Melton Phoenix in FFV state league four in Sebastopol on Saturday.
Ellis, who is originally from Horsham, spent time with Ballarat Red Devils before going to the US to play college soccer. He had a stint with AIB College of Business Eagles in Des Moine, Iowa in the midwest collegiate conference.
Viikngs coach Michael Busija is taking little notice of Melton Phoenix’s form, which has them seventh and one position below Sebastopol. “They’re much better than their results show.” A 5-1 win over second-placed Point Cooke reinforced this.
And Busija is also mindful his team is not yet at full strength, with the likes of William Georgiou and Kyran Taylor (hamsrtings) are still a week away from returning.
