The club stalwarts were still celebrating with their teammates yesterday after the Tigers' win over Buninyong at the Northern Oval on Saturday.
Springbank defeated Buninyong by 23 points in front of a massive crowd and while figures have not yet been finalised it was expected the attendance was well over last year's record figure of 3000.
Supporters joined the successful team for a barbecue at the Wallace Hotel on Sunday and while the celebrations extended well into the night the players were still able to muster up the energy for a traditional Monday counterlunch at the Western Hotel.
Former AFL duo Andrew Tranquilli and Sean Simpson savored the moment with an ale as they inspected the form at the TAB counter.
The Springbank senior and reserve netball teams were narrowly defeated by Bungaree in Saturday's grand finals but that did not stop the netballers joining the footballers to celebrate the rare feat of back-to-back premierships.
While coach Jamie Lamb could not be sighted, captain Tim Tracy still appeared to have his charges well under control and was pleased to report that festivities would continue at the Thirsty Dog after a well deserved meal.
