Fatal plane crash still under investigation
Detectives and aviation safety investigators are still examining the cause of a fatal light plane crash in Gordon that killed a 19-year-old RMIT student pilot. Investigators are expected to probe the site and plane wreckage for up to three days.

The single-engine Cessna 172 plunged from the sky and crashed into a paddock about 3.20pm on Tuesday. RMIT vice-chancellor Marton Bean said in keeping with the woman’s family’s request for privacy, the university will not be releasing the student’s name.
