Entitled Tim Sedgwick Sculpturals, the show features works by Ballarat’s Tim Sedgwick who is known for his outsider art style.
Art historian and curator Geoff Wallis said the exhibition was quirky, creative and humorous with the work reflecting the artist’s personality and optimism.
“Tim takes everyday materials and changes them into something that throws you back on your heels,” he said.
Working in collaboration with artist Geoff Bonney, Sedgwick’s sculptures are imaginative creatures created from found objects and old toys.
The inventive, collectible pieces are all available for sale and will be on display at Backspace Gallery from Thursday to Sunday between noon and 4pm.
