One of Ballarat’s most iconic pubs, the Peter Lalor Hotel, is up for sale.
The 800 square metre building is open for expressions of interest through Colliers International, with the cut-off date set for Friday, December 4.
Colliers International managing director Andrew Lewis said the building has enormous potential, but perhaps not as a pub.
The Peter Lalor closed at the end of 2014 and was set for a revitalisation in the early months of 2015, however, the project was discontinued.
“It's a big solid building, but we are of the opinion that it has seen its time as a pub,” Mr Lewis said. “We think it's (the building) more of a conference or function centre.”
The building is expected to be sold for upwards of $1 million, most likely around the $1.5 million mark.
