The Lake View Hotel, Europa Cafe, Golden City Hotel and Billy’s Bistro and Bar Mercure Ballarat will showcase four different menu items that can be enjoyed by local foodies for the entire length of Good Food Ballarat.
For lovers of sea food, The Lake View Hotel have a “succulent” sea food share platter for two which includes grilled Moreton Bay bug, sweet chilli tiger prawns, Crystal Bay prawns, crumbed calamari, spicey mussels, grilled Hervey Bay scallops, battered barramundi fillets, Pacific Bay oysters and prawn twisters.
As part of their menu, Europa Cafe will serve a duck waldorf of confit duck leg on a fresh bed of cos lettuce, walnuts, celery and house-made aioli with a glass of Sinclairs of Scotsburn Chardonnay.
A 300 gram Waubra scotch fillet with a glass of Blue Pyrenees Shiraz is on the menu at Golden City Hotel, while Billy’s Bistro and Bar will host a Meze chef’s lunch between 12-2.30pm daily with a selection of small eastern Mediterranean share dishes designed for an easy lunch.

WHAT’S ON THIS WEEKEND
THERE are few words beginning with the letter B that go better together than barbeque and beer.
This Good Food Ballarat the two will be combined as part of a special event at Freight on Friday, November 27.
A menu theme designed with classic pub elements in mind has been given a twist, with beef brisket, pork sausage, beef short ribs and pork shoulder set to feature as part of the restaurants Texas Barbeque Banquet on the night.
All meat will be smoked over different style of woods and each matched with an American-style salad and a craft beer specially chosen by the restaurants staff.

On Saturday, November 28 it will be Knife Fork Spoon’s turn to wow local foodies as they kick off their Dessert After Dark event.
Aimed at helping those who can’t decide on a dessert, the evening will offer diners a tasting plate of decadent dessert teasers.
Cakes will be accompanied by espresso, tea from The Rabbit Hole Organic Tea Bar, hot chocolate by Grounded Pleasures and milk shakes.
