The former Napoleons-Sebastopol and East Ballarat cricketer played a part in the Vics’ breakthrough victory at the under-18 girls national championships in Canberra.
Goodger-Chandler had limited involvement in the tournament - bowling just seven overs across eight games and not getting a bat – but was part of the team that cruised to a 59-run win in the grand final.
Victoria’s triumph over New South Wales Metropolitan broke its rivals’ 11-year stranglehold on the championships.
Season 2015-16 is just the second time in 20 attempts that Victoria has been able to lift the trophy.
