Western Bulldogs return to reinforce their Ballarat base this week. Bulldogs’ playing squad and staff will be out in force for school clinics and supporter visits for their AFL Community Camp on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The Bulldogs formed a partnership with the City of Ballarat in late 2014, working to bring AFL games to the city from 2017. This is the second summer the Bulldogs have taken their community camp to Ballarat.
Players will hit the field for an open training session at Lake Wendouree on Wednesday morning, from 9.30am, as they continue fine-tuning preparations for their NAB Challenge opener against GWS Giants on February 25. Camp opens with a civic reception at the town hall on Tuesday morning.
Bulldogs’ Ballarat engagement manager Brett Goodes said the club looked forward to getting back in town.
“The Camp is a terrific opportunity to show how much we value and appreciate the region,” Mr Goodes said. “Our players and staff are very much looking forward to once again connecting with the people of Ballarat.”
