SERAPHIM Trio will return to Ballarat next week, with its 2016 recital series built upon a “total immersion” of Schubert.
Schubert has been described as “the most poetic musician who ever lived”, with the trio inviting patrons to enter the poetry and intimacy of the works.
Performers Helen Ayres, Anna Goldsworthy and Tim Nankervis have worked in the industry for two decades, committed to building the contemporary repertoire, developing new audiences and teaching the next generation of performers.
They will be joined by violist Jacqui Cronin and bassist David Campbell for Schubert's Trout Quintet and his rarely-heard piano quartet.
The trio is also touring others locations in regional Victoria as well as New South Wales, Tasmania and South Australia.
The concert will be held at the Art Gallery of Ballarat on February 23 from 7.30pm.
