HILARIOUS comedian Troy Kinne says when he tries out a new joke, he knows it probably isn’t going to work.
If you’re feeling down or miserable...you forget about everything else.
- Troy Kinne
Nominated for the Most Outstanding Newcomer Logie last year, Kinne says despite having performed internationally, there are days when he just doesn’t feel funny.
However, he said there was nothing like performing a stand-up gig to get himself out of the doldrums.
“Obviously we love what we do. Making videos and doing stand-up comedy – in that moment – is my favourite thing,” he said.
“But if you’re feeling down or miserable, it’s like you forget about everything else.”
Kinne, the host and writer of TV show KINNE, usually tests material on his brother before trialling it before hundreds of people at a gig.
Kinne will perform at the Lounge, February 27 at 7pm. To be in the running to win a double pass, email cos.thecourier@fairfaxmedia.com.au with your details and “Kinne” in the subject line by February 24.
