SOMETHING cool will descend on the city this weekend when the Ballarat Jazz Club celebrates its 30-year reunion.
Established in 1985 by Herb Jennings and the late Don Lockett, many of the original members are still members now.
Ballarat is a city devoted to the genre, with the Australian Jazz Convention held over the New Year period in Lydiard Street.
At this weekend’s reunion, musicians will include Herb Jennings, Bob Pattie, Garry Richardson, Bob Franklin, Tony Orr, Alan Stott and Richard Opat.
The event will be held February 21 between 1pm and 4pm at the Ballarat Golf Club. Cost is $10 for members or $15 for non-members. To book, phone or text 0456 689 123.
