After working through the selection process, Anthony O’Hagan, Tom Boyle and Kurstin Banks have all been picked to represent Australia at the World Junior Ultimate Championships.
For 17-year-old Boyle and 15-year-old Banks, this will be their first time in the Aussie green and gold, while O’Hagan is back for another crack after competing in the titles two years ago in Italy.
O’Hagan, 16, told The Courier his previous experience on the world stage was the highlight of his career so far and had some advice for his teammates.
“At first they are going to be real nervous, but as soon as they start playing, it’s probably one of the best Frisbee experiences they’ve had,” O’Hagan said.
The under-20 championships will be held in the city of Wrocław between July 31 and August 6.
A crowd funding page has been set up to help the trio get to Poland and can be donated to at gofundme.com/kdtq4d3w
