KEY duo Dom Swinton and Daniel Firth will miss Ballarat Red Devils’ FFA Cup clash with Altona Magic at Morshead Park on Saturday
Swinton is unavailable for the fourth round game, while Firth is battling soreness.
Their absence is a setback for the McDonald’s Reds, having been starters in their win over Werribee in their latest outing in NPL2 West Vic.
Head coach James Robinson said replacements would be decided on match day.
Robinson said the Reds were keen to progress in the cup and would be treating this match exactly as if championship points were on the line.
“We won’t be changing our ways. We’ll be doing the same things we always do to ensure the best result.”
He said while Altona played in state league one, it had recruited a number of NPL players this season.
Ballarat had byes in the first three rounds.
