POLICE and firefighters were called to two more car fires this morning – one in Ballarat and one near Creswick.
Ballarat Fire Brigade captain Mark Cartledge said three crews attended a car fire that had been going “for quite sometime” in Mount Helen.
Crews arrived at Indicator Lane at 6.50am.
“The car was very damaged and it had been burning for quite some time,” Captain Cartledge said.
“We were pretty lucky that there had been rain over night (preventing the fire from spreading).”
Indicator Lane is in the middle of a pine plantation, Captain Cartledge said.
Police attended the scene shortly after and the cause of the fire is being investigated.
