SOME of Ballarat’s most talented taekwondo students had the chance to learn from one of the world’s finest when Danish grand Master Ky Tu Dang conducted classes at Trainor Taekwondo in March.

Grand Master Dang ran three seminars for over 75 red and black belt students during his time in Ballarat, focusing on advanced training techniques and winning technical skills.
The Grand Master also focused on International Poomsae in his classes, which emphasises a defined set of defensive techniques used in taekwondo.
Grand Master Dang, who was born in Vietnam, is a multiple European champion and was crowned World Poomsae Champion in 2007.
The Ballarat seminars were part of three sessions the Grand Master held throughout the state in March.
As well as delivering seminars around the world the Grand Master continues to compete on the international circuit.
