POST-punk performer Matt Malone may just have enough dark-style dulcet tones to rival the likes of Nick Cave or an episode of True Blood.
The Ballarat-based baritone is about to release his debut album S.I.X through local label Heart of the Rat Records, with title track the croon-worthy Revelation Law.
Malone will kick off an east coast tour this weekend, starting at Ballarat’s Babushka Lounge in Humffray Street North on Saturday.
Malone’s style is described as somewhere between Johnny Cash, Howlin’ Wolf, Rowland S Howard and Swans.
Malone will perform on April 30 with Trappist Afterland, Garth Horsfield from Immaculata and Troy Wilson.
