SOVEREIGNS suffered their biggest loss of the Victorian Netball League championship season at the hands of DC North East Blaze on Wednesday night.
Although Blaze only had the one win in its opening three games, it asserted its authority quickly to lead 18-6 in the opening quarter and went on with the job to take the points 62-37 in Melbourne.
ACU Sovereigns made a switch at quarter time to substitute in Amelia Brock to goal shooter, but the Ballarat combination's biggest problem was getting shots on goal.
It had only 47 for the night to Blaze's 70.
