Mount Clear College students have scooped the pool at the Victorian International School Student Awards, winning three of the 10 awards on offer.
Year 11 student Yuxia (Henry) Zhang received the Leadership Award while year 12 student Xuzhong Duan was given the International Student of the Year Ambassador Award and the Community Engagement Award.
Both students are part of Mount Clear College’s international program, which hosts 20 long-term students and more than 100 short-term students from China, Japan and Korea annually.
Principal Lynita Taylor said the awards were a great advertisement for the school’s international and home stay programs.
“The whole school community is delighted with the awards that Henry and Xuzhong deservedly received,” Ms Taylor said.
“Our international program is an outstanding success and we are looking to grow it even further with the support of families in our local community, taking in students from one week to two years.”
