Regional Arts Victoria is seeking donations of $5 or more to help students who wouldn’t otherwise have the opportunity to access its Education & Families Program.
A donation of $20 could mean four local students will see a performance aimed at improving self esteem. A donation of $50 will ensure 10 children have the opportunity to build Da Vinci helicopters with Ballarat artist Carla Maxwell.
Subsidies of up to 50 per cent are also available for schools deemed to be disadvantaged by socio-economic circumstances, remoteness, culturally diverse schools and schools affected by bushfires or other disasters.
Regional Arts Victoria's Suzi Cordell said children blossomed when they were exposed to the arts.
The Share Your Pocket Money fundraiser runs until June 30. Donations can be made at givenow.com.au/ravkids or 9644 1800.
