PETstock, one of Ballarat’s most successful companies, will be moving its head office into the CBD in a massive development for the station precinct.
The company has purchased the Provincial Hotel on Lydiard Street and will move more than 100 employees into the office space below the restaurant and bar in October.
The accommodation side of the business as well as the restaurant will continue to operate, with a ‘campus-like’ atmosphere to be established for PETstock workers.
CHECK OUT THE PROVINCIAL’S TRANSFORMATION OVER THE YEARS
“As a business committed to the long term future of Ballarat, PETstock see the Provincial’s strategic positioning next to Ballarat train station as a fantastic opportunity to access greater business partnerships in Melbourne and subsequently the rest of Australia,” PETstock said in a statement.
Provincial owner Darren Fraser only recently refurbished the property, with a grand re-opening in April last year.
Mr Fraser first purchased the building in 2014 for an undisclosed amount, although it had been on the market for $2.2 million for years.
Before that, the building had sat idle and neglected since 2007.
