Facing 2015 champions Golden State for the second year running, the Cavs came back from 3-1 down in the best of seven series to claim the championship away from home.
After earning game time in the first six matches of the playoffs, Dellavedova was forced to watch on from the sidelines as Cavs spearhead LeBron James led the charge.
While playing most of his junior basketball in Bendigo, Dellavedova made regular appearances at the Minerdome for junior representative tournaments.
