THERE are few things that inspire local musician Alex Formosa Baudo more than his close friend.
After the death of friend Marc Hunter, Baudo knew there was one thing he had to do – dedicate a new show and album to acknowledge the importance his friend had on his own music style.
Next month the artist will perform Communication – The Marc Hunter Songbook at Suttons House of Music.
The show will feature all the hits Hunter wrote and co-wrote for his band Dragon.
Baudo said the idea for the album, which was derived from the live show, was to recreate live renditions of Hunter’s music.
“It will be a 10-track CD featuring all the tunes from the show, except for one which will be a song that I wrote with Marc and his wife Wendy,” he said.
With sell out performances in Melbourne, Baudo and his band are set to tour the country following Ballarat’s July performance.
Communication – The Marc Hunter Songbook will be performed at Suttons House of Music on July 8 from 8.30pm. Tickets: $30 or $80 for dinner and show.
