A NEW indoor movie experience has opened in Ballarat and locals can’t get enough of it.
The Movie Garden kicked off on Sunday to a full house at Housey Housey.
According to a number of movie buffs in attendance on Sunday, the chilly weather does not mean you need to hide away inside all winter.
Organiser Beth Lamont said the idea for the week-long event was to give locals a chance to enjoy the outdoor movie experience while staying warm.
“People are really excited about it. It’s great for kids during the school holidays, date night or a night out with friends,” she said.
The Movie Garden will host two films, including Jumanji and Toy Story, each day over the next week with pizza, popcorn and hot drinks ready to be delivered during each screening.
Tickets can be purchased in advance at www.moviegarden.com.au or at the door (subject to availability).
Screenings are at 2.30pm and 8.30pm with the exception of Monday night when a dance party will be hosted.
