SKIPTON remain atop of the Central Highlands Netball ladder following a hard-fought win over Learmonth.
Skipton is yet to suffer defeat in 2016 and was put to the test Saturday in what was its tightest game for the season – coming away with an 11-goal win.
The ladder leaders depth was on full display as it was without some of its usual suspects but still came away with an important victory.
Coach Rhian Moresi was rapt with the teams ability to still produce a high-level of netball despite some unfamiliarity with certain combinations across the court.
Moresi credited a great team effort to lift in the absence of some the teams regular contributors in getting a crucial four points.
Which allowed Skipton to hold onto to top spot and create a handy two-game buffer on third place and its weekend opponent Learmonth.
