AFL Goldfields released its Rebels V/Line Cup squad to take on North East Border and Geelong Falcons in Gippsland in late September.
The 48-man squad was selected from the McDonalds Cup trials at Willaura earlier this month across the Rebels’ recruiting zones.
The team will travel to Moe Football ground to play matches on September 26 and 28 and will be coached by current Ballarat Football League Interleague coach Shaun O'Loughlin and Rebels' assistant coaches Ricky Andrews and Johnno Leoncini.
Team Manager Jason Muldoon said these matches were a great opportunity to challenge the regions most talented youngsters against fellow junior players across Country Victoria. With the hope the V/Line Cup is the beginning of the pathway towards TAC Cup football.
