A BOOZE-free month has already raised $12,000 for Ballarat Regional Integrated Cancer Centre’s treatment and support services.
More than 80 Ballarat residents designated their Dry July efforts to BRICC and, while the sobering month may have ended, donations to the campaign remain open until the rest of this month.
Fund-raising efforts so far do not include money raised for the Dry July Foundation.
Dry July supports people affected by cancer in holistic wellness treatments and services.
The campaign has raised more than $200,000 for BRICC and its wellness centre since 2012. This was the first year participants could choose to nominate a specific beneficiary. Funds will help to continue BRICC’s range of wellness programs, including yoga, art, meditation and dog therapy.
Dry July has so far raised $3.59 million for cancer support across the nation this year and more than $24 million from eight annual campaigns. Details: dryjuly.com/beneficiaries/ballaratregionalintegratedcancercentre
