The a 37-year-old mother-of-two and government claims processor will also get the opportunity to have one of her desserts in judge Adriano Zumbo's stores.
Ms Ferguson, known on the show as the "no-nonsense mum", broke down in tears as her name was called out as the winner last night.
“Ok my god, I won, who would ever have thought that would happen?,” she said.
It was the closest cook-off yet in the competition, with both contestants struggling under the pressure.
Ali held back tears while trying to stop her chocolate beanstalk from breaking, while Kate tried to stay calm when her chocolate log for her Snow White dessert was too frozen – but it ended up making the dessert better!
When the whistle blew, Ali and Kate presented their desserts to the judges for the final verdict.
Ali had a total score of 32, with Kate narrowly scraping ahead on 33 points. Both judges agreed the desserts were incredible.
“The skills you’ve learned in this competition…you’ve delivered a magical dessert,” beamed Zumbo. “Congratulations Kate! You are the winner of Zumbo’s Just Desserts!”
