A range of organisations across the Central Highlands have received grants from the Acciona Waubra Wind Farm’s community sponsorship program.
Talbot Primary School ($1000), Miners Rest Primary School ($1300), Learmonth Bowling Club ($2064.15), Learmonth and District Historical Society ($2,750), Clunes and District Agricultural Society ($5000), Waubra Football and Netball Club ($5000) and Waubra & District Horticultural Society ($1500) all benefited from this year’s allocation.
Miners Rest Primary School kitchen garden co-ordinator Claire Cosgriff said the grant allowed the school to expand its composting program and purchase new cooking items.
