A young school girl was confronted and blocked by the driver of 4WD while she was walking to school on Wednesday, police say.
Police are appealing to any witnesses who saw a bearded man in a dirty, grey, single cab utility pull up in front of the girl at 8.45am on Hertford Street, Sebastopol on Wednesday.
Police say the young girl was attempting to cross the road, near the Spencer Street intersection, when the drive of the vehicle pulled into her path and confronted her about traffic safety.
The driver continued to block the girl’s path when she tried to go around the vehicle.
The tie-dye t-shirt wearing man has brown hair, is caucasian and around 30 years old. He was wearing sunglasses.
The 4WD is believed to be a dirty, single cab utility similar to a Mazda BT50 or Ford Ranger model, with a canopy on the rear tray which was the same height as the cabin.
It had heavily tinted windows on each side of the canopy.
The girl was not injured and paramedics did not attend.
Police are urging the driver of that vehicle, or any person who may have information to contact police on 5366 6055.
