Ballarat motorcyclist Jack Gallagher is primed for a strong performance at the Phillip Island International Moto Grand Prix on October 21-23.
Gallagher will race in the National support class and will rub shoulders with some of the best competitors the sport has to offer. The 19-year-old finished second at the weekend’s Victorian inter-club road racing championship in another positive step in his career.
2016 has been treated as a development year for Gallagher given his horror crash last year which threatened not only his racing career but his life.
However, the determined and talented racer has exceeded all expectation by not only getting back on the bike but returning such impressive results. His father, Chris, said he had developed quicker than he had anticipated and the results gave great confidence ahead of Phillip Island. The rapid development has Gallagher’s team setting its sights towards next year’s Victorian titles and a couple of rounds of the Australian Superbike Championship.
