The DOXA Youth Foundation was donated $5125 from Unions Ballarat and Slater and Gordon after this year’s Grand Final Dinner.
The dinner, held on 29 September at the Trades Hall, was attended by Peter Daicos, Kevin Sheedy, Peter ‘Crackers’ Keenan and local comedian Justin Heyward.
158 people attended the event to support the charity.
One of the more sought after auction items was a table cloth designed by Kevin Sheedy, on which he created his dream team from the Noongor people of Western Australia.
DOXA provide educational and recreational opportunities for people from economically and socially disadvantaged backgrounds.
