She has announced she will be basing herself permanently in Melbourne.
Burton debuted for Rush as a 17-year-old in 2013 after progressing through the Basketball Ballarat junior pathway program.
She played 70 games and last season averaged 6.7 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.7 assists a game – hitting double figures on five occasions.
Burton represented Victoria Country at under-16 and under-18 levels, and Victoria in national under-20 titles.
Rush senior elite teams chairman Kym Cassells said while it was disappointing to lose Burton, the club wished her all the best in her basketball career.
“We will continue to keep in touch with Kasey in the event she chooses to move back to Ballarat, where the door will always be open for a return to the Ballarat Rush.”
