Basil Tuddenham and David Knight are the new Ballarat District Bowls Division state over-60 men’s pairs champions.
Tuddenham, of City Oval, and Knight from Central Wendouree defeated Victoria’s Barry Clark and Noel Verlinden in the final.
Tuddenham and Knight progress to the regional final at Maryborough on Thursday.
WEBBCONA took the honours in the BDBD triples at Victoria.
Tony Wood, Aaron Wood and Ben McArthur defeated Linton’s Brendan Van den Berg, Craig Grenfell and Beau Traill in the final.
They now prepare for the regional final.
CITY Oval’s Melbourne Cup luncheon has become one of the major social events on the BDBD calendar.
More than 90 bowlers and friends kicked up their heels on Tuesday.
